Fuel Relief Fund Stepped up Quickly to Aid in the 2025 Texas Flood Recovery

Realizing the desperate need for fuel in the widespread destruction caused by the devastating floods in the Texas Hill Country, Fuel Relief Fund mobilized immediately to support impacted communities. FRF began its efforts on July 10, 2025, in Ingram, Texas to assist the community by providing free diesel and gasoline to first responders, emergency crews, and volunteers working to clear debris. Free Bar & Chain oil, Two-Stroke Oil and DEF was also supplied for the first responders and the volunteers working to clear debris.

From there, the all-volunteer team moved on to Center Point, Texas, offering the same critical fuel support to volunteers and residents impacted by the flooding.  It didn’t take long for word to spread about the free fuel being supplied by FRF and soon recovery vehicles were lined up to receive diesel, gasoline and oil.  In total, Fuel Relief Fund delivered over 18,400 gallons of fuel helping to keep the recovery efforts powered for seven days.

“Texas is our home and we have direct ties to the Hill Country community,” explains FRF Board of Directors Co-chair Karly Cady. “We knew right away that Fuel Relief Fund would be a part of the response efforts in this catastrophic flood disaster.

“With a tanker on the ground, our mission was to remove fuel as a barrier to recovery – getting help where it’s needed most – and, fast. We continued to assess the need daily to ensure we were assisting the first responders, emergency crews, and volunteers in the community in the best possible manner.”

FRF wants to thank the following partners in this vital recovery mission – Sun Coast Resources, RelaDyne, Chevron, and The Home Depot. FRF also wants to thank the partners who helped us deliver the fuel to those in the hardest hit areas – Regulators Transportation and Services and Top It Off Fuel Services.

Fuel Relief Fund (FRF) is the world’s only charitable organization focused exclusively on emergency fuel assistance in natural disasters and complex situations as FRF’s all-volunteer force is ready to deploy at a moment’s notice. Leveraging its fuel industry and humanitarian sector expertise, FRF manages emergency fuel supply chains in the direst of circumstances when fuel is a critical resource.

“The mission of Fuel Relief Fund is simple but critical: to provide fuel and energy resources during natural disasters and crisis situations,” explains Charlie Cady, Co-chair of the Fuel Relief Fund Board of Directors. “Whether it’s fueling first responders, powering generators or medical equipment to help affected communities get back on their feet, we deliver energy and hope when needed most.”

Fuel Relief Fund was founded in Southern California in 2005. Since then, FRF and its volunteers have come to the aid of natural disaster victims all over the world for over 25 deployments – hurricanes, earthquakes, typhoons, and tsunamis – as far away as Turkey, Morocco, Mozambique, and Japan or closer, in the US, Caribbean and South America.

A registered 501(c)3 organization, Fuel Relief Fund operates both as a first responder in the immediate aftermath of a disaster and as an expert advisor to governments and humanitarian aid agencies.
