What We Do

For a significant part of the world, everyday activities still require fuel. When disaster strikes, fuel – like food and water – is a crucial resource. Fuel Relief Fund (FRF) has responded to 22 large-scale disasters, providing emergency fuel delivery to thousands of beneficiaries and hundreds of aid agencies. FRF has also supported large-scale emergency fuel assistance programs in countries across the globe, impacting millions of people in need.

Hurricane Helene Fuel Relief Efforts

In our most recent deployment, our team was on the ground in Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida, distributing over 86,000 tons gallons of fuel benefiting over 8,600 families recovering from Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. Our efforts in Morocco and previous deployments, including the Turkey Earthquake, Hurricanes Michael, Dorian, Laura, and Ida, have further demonstrated our commitment to providing critical fuel supplies and support to millions of people in need.

WHAT IS A FUEL CRISIS?

Cooking and refrigerating food, sanitizing drinking water and heating homes all require fuel. When a disaster strikes or armed conflict breaks out and power is disrupted, the resulting fuel scarcity can leave millions without food and shelter.

Without fuel, people can’t power home medical equipment, charge their phones to locate loved ones or drive injured or sick family members to receive care. First responders can’t conduct search and rescue operations or run field hospital generators. Critical infrastructure, like water treatment plants and medical facilities, ceases to function.
