The General Tech Tutorial provides the basic technical instructions necessary for using mobile devices and apps on a deployment, with and without connectivity. This tutorial is broken up into three sections based on when the instructions will be applicable:
Pre-Deployment (before you deploy), On-Mission (when you are in the field), and Best Practice Tips (all times). First-time responders must complete this tutorial prior to deploying on their first mission to ensure they are properly prepared.
You may use a computer, tablet, or phone for the tutorial, but to get the best understanding of how you will actually use FRF’s digital data collection tools on a response mission, we recommend using your computer and following along with the instructions on your mobile device.
This content may change as Fuel Relief Fund (FRF) implements lessons learned in the field. An up-to-date guide is always available to our volunteers on our website at www.fuelrelieffund.org/training.
