Fuel Relief Fund received a donation in the amount of $3952 today from the students at Montessori in Redlands. The lower and upper elementary students organized a Read-a-Thon to raise these funds. They chose our charity because one of their alumni, Brooke H., recently volunteered with Fuel Relief Fund in Haiti.
All elementary students and teachers gathered today in one of the large classrooms on the school campus. Two students, Anjali and Sadie, presented the large check to Fuel Relief board member, Joe Keith. Joe was obviously very impressed and thanked the students for reading so much and helping so many people in Haiti.
To conclude the event Brooke presented a slide show about her experiences in Haiti. The students also had many questions about Fuel Relief Fund and the situation in Haiti.
Fuel Relief Fund wants to express their gratitude to the students and staff at Montessori in Redlands. This was a tremendously successful fundraiser and a wonderful event for a great cause. THANKS MONTESSORI STUDENTS!!!!
Thank you Maryhelen Campa for the photographs at Montessori in Redlands school.

Fuel Relief Fund originated out of a quest to provide a basic fuel source for victims immediately following the devastation of a natural disaster.
In 1992, a board member of Fuel Relief Fund, was living on the west coast. Several of his family members lived in Florida and were victims of Hurricane Andrew’s destruction. Immediately following the hurricane, countless people found themselves unprepared and ill equipped to provide the basic essentials of life for their families. It was immediately evident that gasoline was one of those essentials!
